I'm about to be heading for some interior camping with family this weekend under the northern sky up near the 46th parallel.
I haven't been off-road camping in quite some time, and while I'm very certain I've gotten 'soft' over the years, I think it'll be a lot of fun for the family.
My relationship with the woods has changed a great deal since I'm rarely alone now. With two little kids, and a partner, the quiet time is doled out in rationed morsels. I've always been about balance, though, in most things. So I'll need to just try and find ways to continue to find that balance of alone time and thinking time in amidst all the other good family and friend time I cultivate.
For now, adieu.
